Tying up a tree crown is a labor-intensive job that takes a lot of time and energy. It is important that the branches are tied together tightly, without breaking the branches and that the trees are as compact as possible for transport.
MDE Machinebouw has developed the KRB220 tree binder to tie the crowns of large trees. This machine ties the branches back to a maximum diameter of 2.2 meters. The rope is cut with hydraulically operated shears and is in the same time ready for the next tree.
The tree binder can be mounted on a telehandler, loader or hydraulic excavator. The tree binder is operated remote controlled from the cabin or possibly standing next to the tree.
