Tying up a tree crown is a labor-intensive job that takes a lot of time and energy. It is important that the branches are tied together tightly, without breaking the branches and that the trees are as compact as possible for transport. MDE Machinebouw has developed the Globe KRB100 for this purpose. One person can drive ahead of the tree digging team with the MDE Globe tree binder to tie the trees. This means that the trees are immediately ready for transport after digging. You operate this machine from a comfortable air-suspended and heated seat. Because the Globe is equipped with a panoramic roof, the driver sits dry and has a good view of the binding unit. A camera provides an additional view from above of the binding unit. The rope is cut with hydraulically operated shears and is in the same time ready for the next tree. This means that the operator of the machine does not have to get off the machine to ty a knot or cut the rope. Trees can be tied up both to the left and right of the machine in one drive. This means that the machine does not have to be maneuvered, which protects the undercarriage and prevents the ground or grass track from being damaged. The maximum tied crown diameter is 1 meter with a maximum tree length of 7 meters.

For larger trees we have the KRB220 in the segment which has a maximum diameter of 2.2 meters. This tree binding unit can be mounted on a telehandler, loader or excavator.
